This entire computer was designed, built, and modded by TailoredPC. It was a
major project, but the results were outstanding. The system is a basic
desktop, but the processor is cooled by a thermoelectric cooler, which is cooled by a
Maze 4 water block. The system specs are: AMD Athlon XP 3200 1GB (2x512MB) OCZ PC3500 Platinum Limited Edition RAM Abit AN7 NForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 74GB Western Digital SATA Raptor 80GB Western Digital IDE Special Edition Memorex 52Maxx CD-RW Memorex 48X Combo Drive Soyo BayOne AVI Plus Card Reader Antec TrueControl 550W PSU (for the computer) Enermax 550W PSU (for the TEC and water cooling) The system is housed in TWO Chieftec Dragon Full Tower cases bolted together as one. The first case houses the computer components and the second case houses the water cooling system. |

Both cases have been painted black, replacing the Chieftec charcoal color. 92mm blow holes were cut into the tops of both cases and 3 92mm intakes were cut into the side panel of the computer half of the case. |

Each case has a CoolerMaster Musketeer installed, after being painted solid black.
The guages in the computer half control/monitor fans on the ram,
sound from front speakers, and the northbridge temperature. The
guages in the water cooling half of the case control/monitor 3 40mm
intake fans in the top bay, sound from the rear speakers, and the
temperature of the water before it enters the water block. There is also a car tachometer which has been modded to monitor CPU usage. The tachometer face was replaced with a custom design by TailoredPC to match the blue guages and faces of the Musketeers. There are cathode switches for each side of the case. The computer half also has a single fan controller, designed and built by TailoredPC, with blue LED backlight that dims and brightens with the speed of the fans it controls. This controller controls the 3 front intake fans on the computer half of the case. The water cooling half also has the same TailoredPC designed fan controller, but with 2 channels. One channel controls the 4 120mmx38mm fans on the radiator and the other channel controls the 2 120mmx38mm, 2 80mmx35mm, and 1 92mmx35mm exhaust fans in the back of the water cooling half of the case. All of the stock LEDs have been replaced. The LEDs in the case have been replaced by blue LEDS, as has the LED in the floppy drive. In addition, the LEDs in the CD-RW and Combo drive have been changed to be blue when reading a CD or DVD and white when writing a CD. |

Because this case has over 30 fans, fan diverters designed and built by TailoredPC
replace any fan extensions or Y-cables to keep wiring out of the way
of case air flow. All wires have been sleeved with black sleeving,
round IDE and floppy cables have been used, and wires routed out of
the way. The water pump is housed in a magnetic shield to ensure no interference from the magnets in the pump with monitors and such. The shield was designed and built by Tailored PC. The system is protected by an automatic shut-off system. A circuit board, designed and manufactured by TailroedPC, is housed in the water cooling half of the system. The circuit board turns on the power supply for the TEC and the water pump when the computer power button is pressed. A water flow switch is plugged into the circuit board, which lights the former hard drive LED on the water cooling half of the case to indicate water flow. If water flow stops for whatever reason, the LED goes off, an alarm sounds, and the system automatically powers off after four seconds, ensuring the CPU will not overheat from cooling failure even if the computer is unattended. |

Here is a picture of the system running with the lights out. The system is matched with a keyboard that has had the number lock, caps lock, and scroll lock indicators modded with their own blue LEDs. | |||
